Throughout the year, I open up a limited number of commission spots for custom illustration and portrait pieces that are typically 8x10 or 9x12 in size.
My rate is $4 per square inch for paper art plus the cost of materials. My rate for digital art is $25 per hour with an average of 10 hours spent to complete a piece plus the cost of the software used. So have a general sense of your ideal size and budget before submitting.
